Problem Note 35125: Ability to view detail for OLAP data is not available in SAS® Web Report Studio

DetailsAboutRate It

In an OLAP-based report, the ability to view detail data might not be available for cells in a crosstabulation table. This behavior might occur even if you have enabled drill-through functionality in the cube and the drill-through functionality appears to be enabled in the information map.

To resolve this issue, open the information map. In the Properties pane for the information map, the Allow drill-through to detail data property is likely set to Yes, as shown in the following display, because this property is set to Yes by default.

To actually enable drill-through functionality, you must perform these steps:

  1. Change the Allow drill-through to detail data property value to No.
  2. Change the Allow drill-through to detail data property back to Yes.
  3. Save and exit the information map.

Launch SAS Web Report Studio in a new browser session and open the report. If the table is not linked to another report, then the cells should now be hyperlinks. If the table is linked to another report, then you should now see a View Detail option when you click in the cell.
